Nutrition is the most crucial aspect of building a better body and a better lifestyle. People may choose to spend several hours in the gym, either lifting weights or doing intense cardio, but if they aren’t on top of the nutrition aspect, they are taking one step forward and two steps back when it comes to progress. Nutrition can be tricky, so you must learn to listen to your body and stick with what works for you. Eating right and eating enough go hand in hand within any nutrition program; if you are not eating enough or eating too much, it will stagger your results and could slow your progress. Timing is another key component. We must be sure we are eating our meals on a consistent basis in order to build lean muscle and keep our metabolism up and running properly. Just beware, if you go too long without eating, your body will start to hold on to excess nutrients like fat and glycogen as a survival tactic, causing unwanted weight gain.
